Cook Your Books

I've driven by this bookstore in the Lakeview neighborhood often enough to stop noticing it so it was years before I realized that what appeared to be "reorganization" was really a permanent mess. I'm sure this makes finding a real gem among all the rubble a triumph but I do prefer a little more order...

  1. This book store is one that I'd like to visit; organized or not it looks like it would be a great place to browse.

  2. I love browsing through old book stores - you never know what you might find! This one looks like it is particularly "dusty" and would be fun to ramble through.

  3. My favourite type of bookstore! A little disorganized but the gems are worth it. The owners and staff probably know where everything is and can find it. Organized chaos! Great photo.

Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.

  4. Rare and well-done, I get it. Medium, I guess I'd pass those by.

This is quite clever on the front window and would curely draw me in.

  5. The bookstores I know that sell old books usually have a messy look. I don't mind the disorder...
The Water Tower picture is stunning!
Look forward to seeing you at Blogtrotter

  6. Thank you for your comments, Kate, Clueless, Northbay, Annie and gmg.

Clueless, dusty is a good word to describe it. I like the word "sneezy"...I agree with you Northbay, I am sure the people who run it do know where stuff is...GMG, I'll be visiting everyone when I get back to Chicago--I look forward to catching up on everyone's photos!
