At the Grocery

Whole Foods in Lincoln Park. It isn't in my neighborhood and I don't come here during the weekend when I tend to barricade myself back at home. But I discovered, while tooling around the internet looking for information on Whole Foods, that aside from its "socially responsible" reputation that it is also a place where an inordinate number of romances tend to blossom, organically of course, and that the term "a whole food flirt" has entered the lexicon of the online single and dating crowd. Hmm. Where do you spend your Saturdays?

  1. You must have been up high with that photo. Saturdays we're kind of everywhere. Sometimes home, sometimes shopping, movies, depends on the mood.

    I posted a photo of deer today, at least my version. The only one's I could get. And, some snow on my personal blog.

  2. You and I are in the shopping mood! Whole Food is one of the best food store in NYC, as well. I love shopping there. It is the closest to what I was used to in Belgium.
    Well, there's so much to do: lots of movies to catch, trying out a new restaurant, stopping by the Museum, exploring a new neighborhood, or all those mondaine things called laundry, vacuuming, etc.
    BTW, thank you for stopping by little corner of the web and taking the time to comment. Chicago is one of my favourite city in the U.S. It is just so interesting to visit with its rich architecture.

  3. I agree with Eliane. Though I didn't visit Chicago yet I ever thought it must be a nice city and your photo prove it :)

  4. I spend in the wholefood shop, of course!

    Only kidding - but we do have one quite good wholefood shop in Menton and a couple of others not quite so good.

    Never thought of it as a 'romance' place tho. Now that's a thought....

  5. This is a great angle for this pic. I love Whole Foods Market, but I must honestly say that the "whole foods flirt" is a new one for me.

    Lincoln Park is a great area. When I lived in Chi-town I would sometimes spend an afternoon at the zoo and hanging out in the area.

  6. Thank you lv2scpbk, Eliane, Fabrizio, Jilly and Dan! Yes, I was on their upper level reserved for their associates when I took this photo--I thought it was neat to get a view of the store from up there.

  7. So what can we call the romance... wholesome? Tee! Hee!

  8. Wow! That is SO true. My husband of 25 years and I were in Seattle's University District Whole Foods for the first time this winter. Upon exiting he said, "If you 'go' before me this is where I am coming to meet my next wife!" (;
