190 South Lasalle Street. Designed by architect John Burgee, and completed in 1986, critics called the top of this building chateau-like and "like a ritzy high rise jail." But this building is massively impressive and its design is beautiful. Click here for other views from afar and from the air.
p.s. Here's a photo of the its doorman who kindly looked away from my fumbling attempts at getting the whole building into view...
Beautiful hotel! How many floors does it has!
ReplyDeleteIt looks huge! How sweet of the doorman to permit you to click the pic. He must be cold standing there all day, poor guy.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great series of pics. You are inspiring me to do an architecture series. Here is my small town we don't have comparable buildings. Nevertheless, these are great technically and interesting too.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the building. Very nice exposure and color. I always have a hard time trying to shoot from that angle at a very tall building.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo series.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! And the doorman looks great too! Also loved to see the steps for the El station...
ReplyDeleteYou can get dizzy just looking at your picture!
ReplyDeleteThank you Ioanna, Web-oj, Dan, Clueless, Northbay, GMG, and Curly. I do so appreciate your comments here. It was fun to take this photo and I hope to take more. And yes, it was dizzying just to focus...
ReplyDeleteIoanna, this is an office building with mostly law, engineering and architectural firms. There are 40 floors.
Dan, I would very much enjoy seeing photos of the buildings in your town. Thank you for your nice comment re the inspiration :)
You captured the skycraper in the only way possible. And it's great. Of course !
ReplyDeleteThank you, Fabrizio!
