This is very interesting to me. You see versions of this scene in all American cities but men more often than women. I have never seen a woman begging wearing a hijab. I wonder how it affects her donations.
I am not religious but something I admire about Islam is that charity is expected, and it is expected to be anonymous (or so an Egyptian told me). How does that compare to those of us from a Judeo-Christian heritage?
