Miro's Chicago

Miro's Chicago by Joan Miro, originally called "The Sun, The Moon and One Star." Brunswick Plaza, 69 W. Washington Street. Unveiled 1981.

  1. I'm not sure I like this sculpture. I'm pretty clueless:) about modern art and sculpture and don't always understand it, but I can usually tell right away if I like something. And I'm not sure about this one....nah, I guess I just don't like it. I think the best thing about it is its title.

  4. Loved to remember this Miró; actually my 1982 lousy picture is a bit outdated, but the sculpture and the environment looks the same... ;) I adore Miró! One of my first Art books, bought in the sixties, was on Miró...

  6. One of the things I adore about Chicago is how seamlessly it integrates art into public spaces. This photo does a beautiful job of capturing that!
