Istria Cafe

57th and Lake Park Avenue. A very good place to go for coffee, panini, homemade chocolate chili gelato (and other scrumptious flavors), friendly people, and last but not least, free wi-fi!

  1. The counter help sure look friendly! I love coffee with a chocolate chaser. No better dessert in the world, if you are caffeine'aholic like me. I think the bright orange smocks look a little bit like the ones they wear on road gangs:)

  4. Yet another example of why Hyde Park is such a great place to live, work and study. You can tell that this woman would be great to have as a friend. Love the glasses, too.

  5. When I lived in Hyde Park there were no cafes nor were the help as friendly as this young woman. Orange road gang, indeed--funny, and right on!

  7. I admit to being addicted to Starbucks, mainly because it was right next to my old office in Chicago. Too bad there wasn't a place this friendly nearby.

I've challenged Chicagoland CDPBs to a game of tag, see www.wassenaardailyphoto.blogspot.com.
