432 Columbus Avenue, NY. It's always nice to find a slice of Chicago-style deep dish pizza away from home. It's not too difficult considering there are over 200 such locations spread over 29 states.

Slow Day For Change

Brick Arch

947 W. Lawrence Avenue. This Uptown apartment building's entry would have pleased architect Louis Kahn, (1901-1974) who famously asked, "What do you want, Brick? And the brick's answer was, 'I like an Arch." (Read the complete quote here.)

The Apple Store on Michigan Avenue. This is the kind of place where a person just has to slap themselves silly to break out of the trance.

The Republic

Hayes and 63rd. The Republic (also known as The Golden Lady) is 24 feet high and is a replica of the original 63 foot gold-leaf plated plaster statue that was created for the World Columbian Exposition of 1893. The replica (and the original) was by Daniel Chester French and was dedicated May 11, 1918. (Read more here.)
