Cloud, Get Offa Me

3: 30 PM, Chicago Avenue. Blues Fest begins tomorrow out in Grant Park and since the Rolling Stones have always famously given credit to the Chicago Blues sound for influencing their music, thought I'd throw this in as well...

  1. This foggy sky is very fitting indeed. Have fun at the blues festival.

  3. That is a good picture. I like the mist on these high buildings:it makes them even higher than they probably are.

  4. Hey BC - thanks for getting back to me.
I am actually still in Chicago. Just not been blogging much lately. To busy working!
Keep up the good work on the daily photo blog. I love seeing cool photos of our city.

  5. Very cool, I was actually downtown quite a bit walking around yesterday with my girlfriend. So of course I was taking a good deal of pictures and I was yelled at by no less than TWO security guards (one over loud speaker) to not take photos of a building! Have you ever had this happen? It was a bit unnerving, I never really thought that it mattered (not sure I still do) but nonetheless there they were commanding me to stop!

  7. thanks eliane, jim, blognote, gt, adam and babooshka. adam, i've only been asked not to photograph inside the museum of contemporary art. no one has ever stopped me from photographing buildings or even security people--i looked up the legal aspects of taking photos and anything from the street is supposed to be fair game--but i guess everyone's got their security concerns now and who can blame them? for instance, on the cta, they reserve the right to ask people not to take photos--still, it's sort of a bummer when someone tells you to stop taking pictures...
